Clinics

Baby Clinic

Our baby clinic is held every Thursday between 13:30 – 15:30 for children aged 0-5 years.  An appointment is not necessary.  The clinic is run by a GP and our Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant and includes developmental health checks, vaccinations and advice/support.  There is also a health visitors baby clinic which takes place on Wednesday afternoons between 13:30 – 15:30, to weigh your baby or discuss any queries or concerns that you may have.  Please note: the Health Visitors do not vaccinate children. Please report to the community reception for the Wednesday clinic.

Antenatal Clinic

Our antenatal clinic is held by the midwives every Tuesday between 09:30 – 12:00. Appointments are arranged via your Midwife or on your MyMFT app.

Minor Surgery

You must see a GP for an assessment before an appointment is agreed for minor surgery, eg. joint injections.

Clinics for Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease, etc.

Patients who suffer with the above conditions should be reviewed regularly.   An appointment can be made at reception for any of these clinics.  It is very important that patients make every effort to attend such appointments, as regular review can prevent a large proportion of death and disease.

Family Planning

Advice on all types of family planning and contraception is available from any local pharmacy, the doctors and the practice nurse; this includes emergency contraception (the morning after pill).

Smoking Cessation

Smoking cessation is offered by all doctors and the practice nurse.  Please make an appointment to receive advice, nicotine replacement therapy, literature, and support, etc.

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract private fees/charges.
